2018 conference champion

Edgerton packed its four scoring golfers within 10 shots of each other, led by Makenzie Suhr's 93, en route to shooting a 396 and then beat East Troy 26-28 in a one-hole playoff for the team championship at the Rock Valley Conference Tournament at Oak Ridge Golf Course in Milton. The Crimson Tide's victory, combined with Jefferson's third-place finish in the league final, moved Edgerton 1½ points ahead of the Eagles in the overall standings.

2018 conference medalist

East Troy's Caroline Christiansen shot 88 at Oak Ridge GC in Milton to edge Lakeside Lutheran's Mya Heckmann by two strokes and earn medalist honors at the Rock Valley Championship. Bre Deblare of Jefferson was third (91).

What to watch

The Wisconsin PGA Junior has seen a lot of Aubrie Pero and Mary Hommen the last two summers and now the Cambridge seniors hope to see the fruits of their summer labor this fall pay off as they try to lead the Bluejays to the Rock Valley Conference championship. Cambridge returns all five golfers from last year's team and Pero and Hommen have made great strides in their game over the summer, enough to make their team a popular choice to rule the conference. Edgerton graduated its top three golfers off its team that beat East Troy in a team playoff for the Rock Valley title, but then lost to Arcadia in a team playoff for the sectional title. East Troy returns two of its top three golfers from a year ago led by senior Caroline Christiansen, who will rejoin the team this week after returning from a volunteer trip to Africa. However, both have dropped into a chasers' role in the Rock Valley along with Lakeside Lutheran and Jefferson, who are both experienced at the top of their lineups but need two more consistent scores to threaten Cambridge at the top.
