What to watch

The return of North Shore Conference co-players of the year Maddie Wilke and Elise Hoven give Cedarburg a leg up in its bid to repeat as conference champions, but the Bulldogs are well aware of what's going on around them: Everyone is getting better. While Cedarburg returns four of its top five golfers from a year ago, Hartford figures to be closing the gap with all five golfers back from its team that finished runner-up to the Bulldogs a year ago, led by sectional qualifiers Sophie Christianson and Kenna De Rosa and No. 1 golfer Amanda Ruona. However, there is enough talent at the No. 1 spots at schools such as Whitefish Bay (Izzie Mort), Kewaskum/Campbellsport (Alyssa Dreher), Glendale Nicolet (Isa Pierri) and Mequon Homestead (Chloe Sileno) for them to build a foundation for a late-season run at the title or be a factor in the WIAA tournament series.
