Thursday marks the first day that golfers can register for Wisconsin State Golf Association and Wisconsin Public Links Association events. Registration begins March 5 for USGA open championships, April 2 for other USGA events, March 14 for Wisconsin Women's State Golf Association events and April 4 for Wisconsin PGA Junior Tour events. In 2017,  the Cottage Grove resident was part of over 450 different programming classes, taught 100 private lessons to youth, coordinated a special program with the Dane County Juvenile Shelter Home and also played a key part in the “Youth Day & Skills Competition” at the American Family Insurance Championship at University Ridge for a program that continues to expand its reach in the Madison area.
