Add Racine CC to the outstanding list of southeastern Wisconsin golf courses that will play host to one of the major tournaments on the state women's schedule in 2017.

The course will host the Wisconsin Women's State Open, a 36-hole event played June 13 and 14. It was one of three events on the Wisconsin PGA calendar that had yet to secure a site when the section released its 2017 schedule recently.

University of Wisconsin golfer Tess Hackworthy, an amateur from Madison, is the defending champion. She scored a three-stroke victory over Kohler professional Jenna Peters, now a Symetra Tour golfer, last year at Mascoutin GC in Berlin.

The Women's State Open site announcement gives women's golfers three top venues for their premier events in 2017.

The Wisconsin Women's State Golf Association State Match-Play Championship will be played June 25 through 27 at Washington County GC in Hartford. The Wisconsin Women's State Amateur will be played July 12 and 13 at Westmoor CC in Brookfield.

Two other popular events on the women's schedule will also be played at top venues. The WWSGA State Bestball Tournament is July 17 on the Meadow Valley Course at Blackwolf Run in Kohler while the Brown Deer Women's Amateur will again be played at Brown Deer Park GC in Milwaukee on July 30 and 31.
